As we draw closer and closer to commencement, I find myself out of words to completely express my deepest gratitude for an institution that seem to have taken me in its wings and prepared me to fly. Not only did Canisius equip me with tools of international relations and business but also inculcated in me a heart for and with others, a sense of generous and radical compassion that no other could have impressed on me. Thank you Canisius for four great years…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

This beautiful weather makes me want summer so bad!! I have been thinking about what I do during the summer when we have beautiful weather all day. So I decided to share it with everyone what I love to do during the summer! First my favorite thing to do is tan. All of my friends know that if it is sunny out I will be laying outside! I love to just lie in the sun and relax! I also love to ride bikes and go swimming. Usually I don’t go swimming because I usually just lay next to the pool but sometimes… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I joke about all this but the thing that really brought me to tears was not the pain. Or even the fact that I would have to slow down for a while. It was the Canisius Family, I can honestly say every one was there for me. From PubSafe who went above and beyond taking care of me, even while my body went into shock as I waited for the ambulance, they were there with a blanket, or picking me up from Buffalo General… PLEASE CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

On Wednesday my Introduction to English Studies professor released us from class early so that we could attend the Sigma Tau Delta induction ceremony. This is an international English honor society and the ceremony really touched me. Dr. Wolf was the faculty presenter and she discussed with tremendous passion what it means to be an English major. I especially enjoyed the part where she related the major to… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I know I’ll be in the library even more now that exams are coming up, but I think I should do fairly well on them this semester with the help of Timmy Ho’s and a lot of determination to do well and get to summer. I’m so sad to move out though, just thinking I’ll never live in Frisch again. :( Before all this happens though I’m glad Canisius gives us a nice leisurely day. I’m super excited for Spring Fest and all the activities there is to do. I hear it is going to be a lot of fun… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

Rate your professor.com helped me decide because I was just completely overwhelmed. I have to take English 101 because I didn’t freshman year and finally a fine arts class. As much as I wanted to take a language, the art classes themselves seemed much more appealing. The one I’m taking is just called “Color”, and I couldn’t find a description… maybe it is self-explanatory? Regardless, I’m pumped… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I can write for professional needs like it’s no ones business. I can think creatively, outside the box, rationally (on good days), I’m adaptive, I can count to one hundred (in spanish and french!), I know how to manage, delegate, manipulate, punctuate, interrogate, and paint a gate. If I ever wanted to teach English, Philosophy, Psychology, or History – I’m pretty sure I could do it… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…</a

I am hoping that somehow I can get lucky and get a job with kids this summer. I think I would enjoy my summer so much more if I were to be interacting with kids rather than just standing at my cash register inside all day. It also is really hard when I am studying every day and night and I forget to look up jobs! My boyfriend is a junior here at Canisius and he already has two interviews and both of the jobs involve children! But I can only blame myself… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I tutored little kids after they got out of school. I pretty much would help them with their homework, read with them, and play with them. When they left around five I would have about an hour to do my own homework too. It was definitely the ideal job in the first semester. At the start of our second semester a majority of the kids moved away or stopped coming to the after school program, which was a bummer… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…

I’m still not their biggest fan but I did attend two Party in the Plaza’s which were so much fun. For the past two weekends I went with a couple other friends, not to mention one was a Boston Bruins fan. That didn’t go over very well with some Sabres fans but other than that this made me love my time in Buffalo even more. Since the year is quickly coming to an end… CLICK HERE TO READ MORE…
