While the spring semester started three weeks ago, it feels like just yesterday. A full semester definitely makes the time go by quickly. The one-year M.B.A. course schedule includes Managerial Accounting, Finance, Marketing Management, Operations Planning and Control and the one-credit Professional Leadership Series. As previously mentioned, students had an opportunity to choose between Human Resource Management and Regression Analysis for the sixth class as well. Also beginning in March, we will start another class, Strategy Management and Leadership. This course will finish halfway through the summer semester.
As a part of the Professional Leadership Development Series, our class is participating in the final selection of the Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Competition finalists to facilitate dialogue regarding ethics in business, an especially important principle today’s day in age. Additionally, students are continuing to nurture their relationships with their paired mentor from last semester. At the beginning of March, everyone will be attending a fun networking event coined “Speed Mentoring.” During this get-together, the one-year M.B.A. students will have approximately five minutes with each mentor, a business professional from within the Buffalo community. This is an opportunity to expand our networking alliances, pass out resumes, and get a feel for many different occupations and companies. So much going on and so little time, stay tuned for more to come!
