Some of the highlights in my internship were being able to connect with different organizations across the City of Buffalo. Recently, I was able to attend numerous conferences and travel around New York State. For my internship I have learned about a lot of social issues that the world is facing. Before my internship, I was not aware of what was being done to help save future generations.
In the beginning of my internship, I attended a showing of the documentary, T(error). This documentary changed the way I view our government system and how things work. As a digital media arts major, seeing this documentary really inspires me to create things that I have a passion for. The Western New York Peace Center has a lot of events that they are planning, and it is really important to promote them. As a graphic design intern, it was my job to create advertisements quickly and efficiently. My skills in creating advertisements have greatly improved.
