The networking event I attended was hosted by the Ladies of the Bonadio Group. I was invited by another student, so it was nice to have someone to go with. It was my first networking event, so I went in rather intimidated, but all of the other attendees were very nice. Though it seemed like a slightly formal event, everyone was making casual discussions.
Most of the other attendees were a bit older and seemed to know each other. There was also a very interesting speaker, a woman who does talks on a very serious subject. But it was very informative and since it was a ladies’ networking event, it impacted everyone, I believe.
As it was my first networking event, it was more of an observing and learning experience, but it was still very interesting and turned out to be an enjoyable evening.
