I got a text from my supervisor last night saying, “Sorry it got kind of crazy today! Thanks for being so flexible”. My response? “I like crazy, I’m glad I don’t have a ‘normal’ job.”

I have been to my internship three times now, and ever since our first meeting together I feel as though we are unstoppable.  Do you want to know the best part of it all? There are only three of us! I feel like people might think that this job isn’t a real job because there aren’t many employees, but these women work. They get things done that need attention, and they do not let anyone get in their way.

Sure, it’s pretty scary working in an office with the two of them watching my every move, but I already feel like I am part of the team.  The best part of it all is that they don’t make me go get them coffee, we go get coffee together.  I joke with them often saying things like, “I’ll do it! After all I am your intern.” They love that one.

But in all seriousness, I came in not knowing what to expect, and these two women immediately took me under their wing, and I love what I am doing.  I am looking forward to the rest of the semester, and to see where things go with the P.U.N.T. Foundation. I cannot wait to give it my all and make a difference in Buffalo by raising awareness for pediatric cancer.
