Week 1 with Roswell

This week I finally started my internship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  I am interning with Carly’s Club, which focuses on the pediatric side of events and fundraisers.  Ever since I went on a tour of Roswell last spring with AWMC (Association of Women and Men in Communication) I knew I wanted to intern there.  Everyone seemed so nice and welcoming and even more important, they all seemed to love their jobs.  Even though I have only completed two days of my internship, I know I am going to love it.  So far I have gotten to visit the Roswell Pediatric unit and help complete some errands and tasks for upcoming events and activities.   I also get to help out with two of the biggest events of the year this semester, the holiday party and the All Star Gala. Everyone I work with is amazing and the atmosphere is so great, I cannot wait to see what else is in store for me in the weeks to come!
